often we are asked by brides “where did they find that?”… and the majority of searching and finding happens on wedding inspiration blog sites. i found a poster that states “i love you, blogs and coffee” and while mike has to literally tear me away from my mac to sleep, wedding inspiration blogs continue to inspire me to find beauty and light and uniqueness … while our little daisy is recovering from pneumonia after swine flu and screen time has been limited to the laptop in the lounge whilst watching mamma mia … here are a few of my faves …
polka dot bride rocks…from inspiration boards to real weddings to snapshot sundays to competitions that are huuuuuge…a daily check is required for savvy brides…(and we have been featured woo-hoo!)
i do it yourself is pure inspiration for the diy bride…from invitations to table decorations and everything in between…also beautiful inspiration boards with colour coding included…(oh, and we have been featured on here too!)
vintage glam weddings has been a favourite for such a long time…the vintage look is so in at the moment and this blog previews glamour and fashion and ideas and the most incredible real life weddings with amazing photography from across the globe (pssst…thrilled to be featured on this blog by the way

australia entertains is a beautiful and informative blog from australia created by kathryn from pink frosting (if you havent checked out their online store you are missing out) … from parties and cakes and the bling kathryn previews the latest in entertainment magic (and yes, we were also thrilled to be featured here…)
west aussie bride is a local blog i found through polka dot bride (this is how the addiction begins) … writing daily about her search for creating a “fun, fussfree, styling wedding that wont leave us bankrupt” … best bits are the totally individual gowns she finds in her search for her wedding dress … only six months to go until her wedding, its very addictive reading how everything is falling into place … i gasped when this image greeted me with my first coffee for the morning… (and squealed when we were featured on here)
elizabeth anne designs features real life weddings, invitations and a virtual treasure trove library of vendors - shame most are located overseas,(except us - we are in the library for that destination wedding just around the corner) but still - beautiful images and a bucket load of ideas to boot…
grey likes weddings is another eye candy site… summer is a floral and wedding designer and consultant and is hooked on all the pretty things that are packed into a wedding day … she continues to discover and and share the best ideas and showcases them on her blog daily…(would so love to be featured on this site…sigh…)
faire frou frou is a french phrase meaning “to show off” and the owners of this US lingerie paradise feature the best and latest in lingerie on their blog frou frou fashionista … with images from magazines such as vogue, stunning photographers who will take your breath away, and the haute couture loveliness this site will make you dream of a credit card with no limit…
my all time favourite and the site that has me glued to the screen with disbelief at the perfect beauty that is in front of me is kiss the groom … elizabeth messina is one of my idol photographers - her work is divine and inspiring and amazing and i wish i could travel to paris and join her workshop next month … elizabeth also posts poetry and readings that are the answer to your wedding vows and readings … visit once and you will be hooked …
so now that i have provided you with enough reasons not to complete the work your boss is requesting, or the meal your family is waiting on, its time for daisy’s final dr’s appointment and hopefully the all clear so i can return to the mac and editing …
