ruben and kylie - 21st march 2009

hunky ruben and stunning kylie were wed under a perfect blue sky at the sanctuary

the home was full of very happy busy people and very 80’s loud music so we bopped around until we found this gorgeous gown

the talented and beautiful brylie steiner working her magic…

all on the front porch…

never before have we seen gloves…very funny…but hey - no marks!

kylie was a dream to capture…she visited us during the week for a boudoir shoot (which was incredible, as i’m sure ruben will tell you)

and she was able to “work it” with ease…

just stunning…

racing to the sanctuary the fellows were in place…

it was a beautiful ceremony, here are the mums simply overwhelmed with happiness…

the limo driver was on a time limit (there really is something to be said for the flexibility of local limo companies - we love you fj’s and chevies!)

so we raced to a sweet sunlit street for some backlighting loving…

the guys thought the location shoot was supposed to be serious and boring, so we made them all balance on a log to loosen them up a little…

we were on the hunt for cool (as in shady) locations, and found this wall…

love these…

which was opposite the old sjog hospital…

the bridal party were concerned/horrified/skeptical about our choice here…but soon changed their mind when they saw the images on the slideshow at the reception!

we did good - huh guys?

hey brylie - how is this for a cover image for your new website?

mikes grunge and angles…

my flare and sweetness…

the limo driver insisted on returning the happy group to the sanctuary…so we finished the shoot with ruben and kylie on the green before sunset…

the dance was awesome…helped of course by sweet tunes played loud by ashley dillon…and then the party kicked in well and truly and not another slow song was played all night…

hey there amanda and glen!! see you in October!

one final mention of these amazing cupcakes…please kylie comment and provide the name…young lady starting out in business and i could have eaten 10 of these,

one after the other, while shooing away anyone else trying to get one…they were damn fine!!

thanks so much ruben and kylie, for an amazing day…you two have an incredible group of friends who practically begged us to join in the party (which i did- he he he)

and dont even get me started on how gorgeous your family are!!!

we hope your honeymoon was just as wonderful :)

chris and kelly - 14th march 2009

“oh happy day”

loveable chris and delightful kelly celebrated carefully planned and long awaited nuptials amidst plenty of sunshine and laughter

we met up with the boys and lots of relatives at the paradise inn motel…so completely seventies i was in love with everything…and perfectly located across the road from the reception centre!

we took a few shots in front of the jetty :)

then mike decided he could take a better ring shot than moi…and pretty much did…dont panic by the way - the plug was in…

so i was determined to reclaim my title of “detail queen” and achieved this…”boo-yahh” back at ya’ babe

so then arty farty decided he would hang the gorgeous gown from the stairwell as he liked the angles

(i think he was just trying to sound important…)

in between all the competition between us…there was a stunning bride being pampered…

introducing kelly…

…isnt she just divine?

these pretty vintage horseshoes are generations old…

love this

beautiful colours kel…

back at st mary’s, chris looking sharp…

st mary’s is tiny, and dark and tiny and really dark…

we introduced ourselves to the priest and he asked for no movement and no flash and no one is allowed behind him…mmmmm…next time we will not be doing introductions…

the ceremony was blissfully happy and everyone cried…including this little black duck…and then while no-one was looking i snuck up close and captured this gorgeous couple

and then waited for the lighting bolt…:)

love this

we practically begged the owners of a wonnerup homestead to shoot around their property, but they kindly declined, and pointed us in the direction of the old st mary’s hall…

a pretty fair second choice…

then back in the chev to catch the last few rays of light on the grassy banks of the esplanade

spotted this ages ago and we always run short of time to shoot it…this time the reception was across the road…:)

their was a story about this cake, i hope it was exactly as it was meant to be kelly…it looked amazing…

the dancing was so much fun…mike borrowed a little backlighting from our good friend and awesome videographer supernova mark…

i managed completely and absolutely just with my stubby 50mm and a little 1.4 lovin…

another good friend, the cranking dj darren supplied hot tunes all night…and yes, i was on the dance floor once again…:)

we returned to the paradise motor inn for a some night magic…

this is mine (yes, the competition was extremely serious this day)…

and mine again…love the lady looking from the window…:)

then mike trumped me with this..i love the air of attitude this portrays…

and because i was really annoyed he did good…i clicked one last time when our dear friends were nearly out of sight and definitely out of focus…

but i really like this…so there…:)

kelly is a great wedding organiser with the most amazing tips for brides…with the most important being book early - like years early!

chris and kelly, we hope we were able to capture the incredible and honest love you share for each other…

we loved being a part of your day, that has been years in the planning, and being so welcomed by your family and friends…

we hope your honeymoon was relaxing, especially now with all the hard work involved in your new home!

dont stop stalking the blog Kel…another big change is on its way :)
