…to say that this wedding was a big deal for us it the understatment of the year…
clare day, photographer extraordinaire, married her absolute sweetheart john-boy on a rainy september afternoon at the beautiful avalon - which is just a hop and a step from the 100 acre wood…
john and clare are so amazingly suited and so much fun to be around - the day resembled a monty python comedy theatre act with perfectly timed applause and laughter…
their vintage english high tea theme was ever so sweet and combined with tears, gentle affection, a kanagroo or two and bucket loads of love this wedding was incredible…
we caught up with john-boy looking delectably handsome in tails at meadowbrooke…
then arrived at avalon where the beauty just melted your heart…
clare’s stunning vintage and lace gown…
as expected from someone who visits many a wedding…clare planned lovely intricate details…
and then john and scott arrived at the farm in the fj limo and clare began to come over all giggly and excited…
not that the champagne and strawberries had anything to do with it…

more tears…
after wiping away many tears from a gorgeous ceremony, it was time for high tea…and mike and i were so thrilled we were invited otherwise we would have been stuffing our pockets for sure…
clare’s mum and friends have been baking and making and it all looked divine…
off for photos!…and the lovely clare not once made a suggestion or remark or comment…she is such a sweetheart…
the shoot by the way was more like monty python again - complete with recitals and loads and loads of laughter…

chasing light - once more - we stopped at a bracken lined lane and clare requested some 90210 loving…
we think nichole (who married martin at a stunning wedding in march) looks like joanie from happy days…

the rain was upon us as we sped off to meadowbrooke to heaters and candles and lavender and more champagne…

the magix booth made a grand entrance and set up…mike extremely pleased with himself as after two failed attempts to have his unique cover made…he stayed awake until 3am, learning how to use a sewing machine from a manual (and he never reads manuals!) even loading a bobbin when he had absolutely no idea what that was…and he made his own…it was worth every minute babe…the magix booth was the bomb!

the speeches made us laugh and cry and laugh and cry more…there is sooooooo much love in this motley crew….

then dj darren cranked up the music and it was a serious dance fest…
we stayed until stumps and captured amazing hugs and tears and more laughter and clare and john farewelled…
well, john tried to farewell…clare took a little convincing that the “john and clare” wedding theatre show was coming to a close…
but then there was tears and it was all just a bit too much and john-boy took his princess bride in his arms…
john - with your wickedness and trekkie dark side and clare - with your dimples and curls and soulful eyes and quirkiness are so incredibly in love with each other you cant help but become all emotional and teary trying to explain it and write about it so i’m going to stop now and just thank you for being the first couple to really invite us (with a placecard and eveything) and we hope you love the images and we loved every cackle and comment and we know tasmania would have been stunning and we cant wait to see your pics clare and we wish you both sunshine and smiles and loads of love and lots of italian children and hope to see our new best friends very soon…:)

I loved the story and I loved the pics. Wish I’d been there! What a climax were the last 3 pics!!!! WOW!!!
