we returned to tranquil donnelly river for the amazing wedding between clive and joanne…and the joining of two gorgeous families…
clive and joanne invited their immediate family to join them for a weekend of relaxing and avoidance of the rat race that is life in general…
…and included was a beautiful, intimate, funny and loving wedding ceremony nestled deep in the Karri forest and a sumptous reception while being warmed by the open fires…
mike caught up with clive and 2 of his 3 sons when we arrived…

over at cabin 37, all was calm and peaceful and joanne’s individually designed and ever so stunning gown was waiting…
![]()
joanne had planned all items along a vintage and australian bush theme…it was just beautiful…
![]()
stunning bride…joanne has been a dedicated gym junkie leading up to this special day…she looked truly amazing…
![]()
![]()
![]()
waiting for the horse and cart carriage to arrive and the rain, which seemed destined to remain, became a light sun shower and with the afternoon light allowed the bush to sparkle…

the family were kept in the dark as to where the actual ceremony was being held, so they all followed joanne and clive through a path prepared by clive to the tree that joanne laughingly stated had her name on it…
![]()
![]()
both joanne and clive have sadly lost their fathers - so in rememberance they both had front row seats at the ceremony…
![]()
the warm afternoon sun welcomed everyone to the ceremony, along with a little bryan adams…who sounded so damn eighties good against the silence…
![]()
after thanking their respective sisters for introducing them, and a passing of the rings through all their family…they promised their love to each other and their children with magpies singing sweetly and not a drop of rain…
![]()
…
![]()
lots of love and hugs and hugs and love…
![]()
then off in the carriage (it is soooooo hard to focus while you are hanging on with one hand and your butt is bounced all over a wooden seat! - but i think i did fine with this shot…)
![]()
the old school house was dry and warm…
![]()
that hat suited clive - and the theme - so well…doesnt he look awesome?
![]()
and so fine and dandy in this one…?
![]()
i couldnt peel the lense away from joanne’s gown…just exquisite…
![]()
a little kissin and a huggin and a dancin…
![]()
then back into the carriage - with lots of long weekend travellers cheering and clapping all the way around the settlement - for a little sun filtered loving…
![]()
![]()
![]()
love this one…love love love…
![]()
after interupting a bearded hippie from his afternoon nap…we stole his shed for but a moment of sweetness… hhmmmm is this the shot of the day?
![]()
but by now the forest had sent its chill down our backs and even after trying to shelter near the green door, it was so cold and time for the open fires and a beverage
![]()
![]()
here is the family…all snuggled in and telling me to hurry up as they are freezing!
![]()
joanne truly exceeded all expectations with the reception design and implementation…it was nothing short of absolutely stunning…
![]()
![]()
…and then there is the food! pip from bridgetown pottery and tea rooms delivered the most divine and mouth-watering dinner we have had the pleasure of sharing…all prepared in the 1960’s kitchen complete with failing oven pilot light and it was overwhelmingly awesome!
if you are down at the bridgetown blues in november, make sure you check out the restaurant and tell them pixel magix sent you…
![]()
we braved the chilled and quite spooky night air for these images we could not resist… shot of the day????
![]()
we desperately craved for a smoke machine here…so we asked the dedicated faggers to group together and direct a little toxic - but very moody - smoke this way…they happily obliged!
![]()
10 minutes outside was certainly plenty and it was then time for joanne and clive to perform their choregraphed and oh-so-fine and entertaining dance…received by all with great shouts of appreciation and wild applause
![]()
the magix booth was a sensational hit once again - and kept all the kids occupied for hours - we actually felt a little sorry for dillo the dj for keeping people away from the dance floor
![]()
thanks ever so much clive and joanne…firstly for introducing us to the treasures of this awesome hideaway - no phones, tv’s or road rage - and secondly for allowing us the pleasure of meeting all of your wonderful family and finally for inviting us to share in your perfectly and uniquely planned celebration of the immense love you have for each other and all of your 6 children…it will be a day never forgotten…
oh, and shot of the day, well - probably a toss up between two images taken by my dear sweet, clever and talented mikey - he did well and yes, he is a keeper…:)

Shot of the day is a tossup. The last two, the one with the rings, the few forest ones, the carriage one, all the others………..umm. now I dunno. Ummmmmmmm (worried) All are awesome, anyway.
