{ever after} ~ michael and aimee

we were certainly spoilt for our first wedding of 2011 … michael and aimee are so gorgeous and sweet and kind … and although there were a few slight nerves they both cruised through, joking and laughing and taking in the happiness of the day …

aimee stayed at the stunning aquila apartments in margaret river, the light was perfect, the rooms spacious, and the entire apartment was incredibly furnished … along with her bridesmaids, aimee also included her 3 beautiful nieces as flowergirls … oh how i love taking pictures of flowergirls :)

the pictures of aimee and her mum and dad at aquila, featured on the slideshow, should not be missed and you may need tissues …

the ceremony was held at laurance winery in yallingup and the reception at watershed winery in margaret river … absolute favourite venues … both of these locations excel in their services … and both are ideal for location portraits …

here is an excerpt from aimee’s questionnaire :

The biggest surprise about the day was how emotional my Dad was. I don’t think I have ever seen him cry and he was tears all day! He also surprised us with a very heart-felt speech which meant the world to me.

We were so lucky to be given access to Laurance private estate, next door to where our ceremony was held. We had all of our photos taken at the barn and got some really amazing shots! Just inside the doorway was a long bench seat and Kylie thought it would look great to have me lying down across it. Easier said than done! The bench was so slippery that I kept sliding every time I let go. So Michael was called over to hold me in place, LOL!! Totally worth it as we got the most amazing image and it’s definitely my favourite photo of the day.

The entire day was amazing but a special moment on the day was when we danced the bridal waltz to an incredibly special song my brother had recorded especially for us. This was only the second time we had ever heard him sing and he has such an amazing voice! We didn’t know what song he was going to play for us until the night. The first time we heard it was during our waltz and this made it even more special. The lyrics are so beautiful. He is so talented!

thanks for inviting us aimee and michael … to such a beautiful day … and we always love working alongside mark and kerry from supernova, darren gittos dj, and the superb staff at watershed …
